I went to Atlanta for a week. Here is what I did Day 7 & my last night, or check out my Atlanta City Guide.
DAY 7//
CHRISTIAN CHURCH BUCKHEAD -- This is not a tourist spot! I was just visiting because my friend Alex goes here. The church building is pretty interesting and nestled in between the hotels and convention centers of Atlanta. The pastor happened to be on the Ephesian passage that talks about drunkenness, so the sermon was on to-drink or not-to-drink!

OSTERIA 832 -- Had lunch with Alex and his friends, Rebecca and Johan. I thought this Italian restaurant was just okay, but I think it might be because of what I ordered. Everyone else seemed to have ordered better and enjoyed their food more. And I forgot to take pictures!
FOX BROS BBQ -- Great BBQ place that is super super busy. Alex told me to get their beef short ribs but they are only available on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Decided on to-go because of the long wait. I'm still on the fence with okra, but the Texas Fries and Brisket is to die for. This is a must-try!
FRIED OKRA |
TEXAS FRIES fries smothered in BBQ sauce, topped with chopped brisket, jalapeños and topped with melted cheese, served with ranch. |
BEEF BRISKET sliced |
ATLANTIC STATION -- This is a large outdoor shopping area that takes up a few street blocks. I went to the Regal Theater there and it one of the most comfy theater seating ever.
LAST NIGHT//
FLIP BURGER -- They have a bar, interesting drinks and beautiful servers. The burger concepts are interesting too; but I don't think the burgers are as good as Yeah! Burger's.
BUN MI CHICKEN lime glaze chicken breast, pickled daikon + carrot, cucumber, cilantro, smoked mayo, sriracha jelly |
BUTCHER'S CUT crumbled bleu cheese, caramelized onions, soy truffle vinaigrette, frisée, pickled shallots, red wine jam |
Peach Raspberry Shake with Almond Foam |
I love your city guide! If I make it out to Atlanta any time soon, I'm totally going to use this. I especially love that you got the scoop on poop...and I would like to have the sweet potato pancakes, that fabulously-frosted cinnamon roll, and those giant fries, RIGHT NOW! Looks yummalumma.
