MOCA and Such

Way to start off a new year! I spent some time yesterday with my lovely young friends in and around Downtown LA. The typical unpredictable SoCal weather started off wet and dreary but ended up absolutely glorious! Our destination was the Geffen at MOCA and MOCA Grand Avenue. It is so sad there is no longer free shuttling service from one location to the other, but we wouldn't have tried the public transit otherwise. And it was fun! We also did some mean walking down and up Grand to Bottega Louie.

the smell of wet asphalt, hedges, stepping on dry crunchy leaves, red brick walls, cool breezes on a warm day, the warmth of the sun on a cold day, writing my name into a new book, singing, the process of getting to know a person, paper, hand-written notes from friends, subtlety, being driven around (as opposed to driving), brown paper bags, blowing dandelions, my friends being happy, writing with a pencil, making people laugh, holding a warm mug when it is cold, drinking tea, sticking my face out the window of a moving car, being barefoot & in pajamas, the fact you've read this far.
