Dog Days

It's been a busy couple of days. I am working through the weekend because there are a lot of staff taking days off this month, including myself. Work can be tiring and kids can be trying without meaning to be; but sometimes a beautiful student work makes it all worth it, like this one!

Summer is not over yet!

the smell of wet asphalt, hedges, stepping on dry crunchy leaves, red brick walls, cool breezes on a warm day, the warmth of the sun on a cold day, writing my name into a new book, singing, the process of getting to know a person, paper, hand-written notes from friends, subtlety, being driven around (as opposed to driving), brown paper bags, blowing dandelions, my friends being happy, writing with a pencil, making people laugh, holding a warm mug when it is cold, drinking tea, sticking my face out the window of a moving car, being barefoot & in pajamas, the fact you've read this far.
